CLEVELAND, Ohio — Heavy rain was falling in Northeast Ohio late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, leading to a flood advisory for Cuyahoga and Summit counties from the National Weather Service. The Weather Service says between 1 and 2 inches of rain had fallen by 1 a.m. Thursday, warning that urban and small-stream flooding was expected. The advisory said Big Creek in Brooklyn is above 7 feet and could cause flooding problems for nearby businesses. Other cities that could experience flooding are Cleveland, Parma, Lakewood, Euclid, Cleveland Heights, Strongsville, North Royalton, Solon, Twinsburg, Warrensville Heights, Macedonia, Highland Hills, Garfield Heights, Shaker Heights, Maple Heights, South Euclid, Parma Heights, Rocky River, Broadview Heights and Brook Park.
